Bynum is a senior program analyst for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, with a key leadership role in technology verification for the Agency's innovative partnership with the freight industry, SmartWayTM Transport Partnership. Among her current interests are to accelerate the use of advanced technologies in the trucking industry by developing test protocols to quantify carbon dioxide and other emissions from commercial trucks and equipment, and establishing criteria for SmartWay-certified tractors and trailers and EPA-verified truck tires and aerodynamic equipment. Prior to joining EPA, Ms. Bynum held a number of positions in the transportation industry. Cheryl is a member of SAE and is active in her community and several nonprofit groups.

He then served for 5 years in the Nuclear Submarine Force. In his 30 years with Michelin in Manufacturing, Quality, Product Design and Marketing. Don is currently responsible for evaluating market trends and specifying the technologies and tire lines that will be developed for future customer needs.

Ken, in the NREL Testing & Analysis Group, leads the CoolCab task at NREL, a government-industry collaboration that focuses on the design and integration of advanced thermal management technologies in long-haul trucks. Work on the CoolCab project includes developing computer models of truck cab heat transfer and climate control and working with truck and idle reduction technology manufacturers to define idle reduction system requirements. Before coming to NREL, he served as a senior equipment engineer for the Denver Regional Transportation District transit agency. Before that, Ken was a station equipment engineer for Natural Fuels Corporation and a project engineer for H.A. Phillips and Company. Ken holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado.

He was part of the launch team for the Mercedes-Benz truck programs in Europe, providing world-class fuel-efficiency and safety standards. 1997 he started with his team to develop electronic controls for fuel cell and diesel-electric hybrid vehicles, before he joined Webasto, Germany as the Director of the Electronic Competence Center. Since 2006 he is responsible in the US for the development and market introduction of Non-Idling technologies. He was also teaching automotive mechatronic engineering at the university in Bochum, Germany.

Prior to joining Art Center in 2005, Muyres worked at Johnson Controls Inc.
